Dymphna Boholt and Sandy Forster

Dymphna Boholt and Sandy Forster, are two amazing women, who have endured and succeeded despite the odds. Both ladies hail from the sunny sunshine coast in the state of Queensland. Must be that gorgeous temperate weather, and indeed the beautiful salty wind that flows of the beaches, in that part of the world that facilitates success. What ever it is I am sure the wwhole of Australia would like to know too.

Sandy has had quite an interesting story, she grew up in melbourne, and when she was 15, her parents took her on a trip around the world, for almost a year before they settled on the sunshine coast. She has worked in a library, taught aerobics classes, even designed and manufactured Leotards. Today she is the founder of the highly successful womens business and strategy site

Here she shares her secrets of attracting wealth throught he power of the subconsious mind. Sandy has written and/or contributed to over six books.

Personally I feel that its great that we can live in a day and an age, where a single mother on this side of the world can use the internet, to build a business from scratch and then take it one step further and make it very very profitable. Thats what this country needs more people like Sandy Forster.

Dymphna Boholt and Sandy Forster have now known each other and worked together for years and indeed one's skill sets have completed the other's, in a perfect symmetrical manner. There ineed have been ups and downs however, when you walk the talk, you always get there, no matter what.

Dymphna Boholt on Barack Obama and the US Elections

Dymphna Boholt is very happy, to be alive and rocking in an era when massive change is occuring around the world. Yes admittedly there is some turbulence on the landscape however all in all, life is great. In the world's most dynamic economy, the United States of America a once in a 100 year event is occuring. The voting folk in the world's leading democracy are about to elect a Black Man, yes you heard right a black man. So for the very first time in the history of the world. A Black Man will be the Commander in Chief of arguably the world's most powerful army.

Dymphna Boholt, asked a friend recently, why this was the case, how did this happen, where has the entity Barack Obama come from, and how popular is Barack Obama. Well the second part of Dymphna's question is rather very easy to answer. According to the Huffington Post Barack's last visit to Denver brought out a rock concert crowd inexcess of 100, 000, people. When his opponent from the Republican party John Mccain turned up, he scraped the barrel at 4,000. Ouch..

That should give you an idea of the man's overall popularity. He is literally a rock star. The where did he come from bit though, is rather interesting. Obama was born on August 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Kenyan Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. and Kansas native Ann Dunham, who had met while at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

I remember the very moment Obama came into public prominence. Obama gained instant fame when delivering the keynote address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, which later nominated John Kerry as the official Democratic nominee for the 2004 election. Speaking of his family's beginnings in both Kansas and Kenya, Obama then spoke against the war in Iraq and asked for unity in the United States. His words secured a win for him in November as a United States Senator.

From that moment onward Barack has gone from strength to strength. He beat Hilary Clinton, in a battle for the Democratic nomination, when she had all the advantages. And now he is about to do exactly the same to a republican candidate who arguable has all the tradtional advantages of money, power and status.

What a Time to Be Alive.

Dymphna Boholt on Consumer Psychology

Dymphna Boholt, has decided that today is the day to look at in a very broad manner, the market conditions that are affecting consumer psychology. First lets see what wikipedia has to say about the concept of market psychology.

Consumer Psychology is the study of how people buy, what they buy, when they buy and why they buy. It blends elements from psychology, sociology, sociopsychology, anthropology and economics. It attempts to understand the buyer decision processes/buyer decision making process, both individually and in groups. It studies characteristics of individual consumers such as demographics, psychographics, and behavioural variables in an attempt to understand people's wants. It also tries to assess influences on the consumer from groups such as family, friends, reference groups, and society in general.

Okay that was the heavy duty, semi-academic version, that I just grabbed from wikipedia. Check out another perspective on consumer behavior

For our purposes, lets just take a look at some headlines in the major newspapers, and examine what they tell us about consumer behaviour or consumer psychology, if you may. Queensland's biggest and indeed only old school paper the Courier Mail, has a headline screaming "

Developers pull the pin on southeast Queensland projects"

Building deferrals have slumped and development applications to the Brisbane City Council have decreased significantly since August. So there you go, when property developers stop building that means people are not spending. When those tradies who would normally work on those sites are out of work, thier families have to cut back on discretionary spending, The flow on effect into other areas of the economy are immense.

Then you have bigger corporations within society, that are actually laying off staff, giving them pink slips.

Jobs to go as Commonwealth Bank slashes costs.

The dynamic there is slighly more different, here a bank is actually cutting staff, for resons of improving its bottom line. That is the bank is not broke, however for reasons of increased profitability, human beings are being given the silver bullet.

In concluding, Dymphna Boholt could go on, however, the only conclusion, one can draw from this is the very real fact that, consumers, are not going to be spending, and that, there is nothing that goverments at both state and federal level can do. Once the general public feels that that times are tough and they see people getting fired, Thats pretty much the end of the matter.
We friends are in for a rough ride.

Dymphna Boholt on Personal Development Strategies

Dymphna Boholt, has stated that investing in personal development training and acquiring the strategies there is just as important or as equal to acquiring a new property portfolio. After all how can one hope to transform the world without first transforming themselves.

Now when one goes to consider the veritable smogasbord that is personal develpment training, the options are mind boggling. You have at your disposal so many different modalities and teachers. How does one sift through the various options. When most people think personal development. Its is not long before a name like Anthony Robbins is most oftened metioned. I personally have over the eons purchased the odd Anthony Robbins tract and to state that the books that I purchased are powerful, would be doing the man a grave disservice. Anthony has for my mind taken the field of NLP or Nero Linguistic Programming and lifted it to a whole new level.

According to wikipedia Neuro-linguistic programming (or NLP) is an interpersonal communication model applied in psychotherapy and other contexts of communication and change. It sought to observe naturally self taught expertise, and then model the processes and habitual patterns that experts intuitively use on the assumption that those behaviours were responsible for their results. Much of NLP's philosophy, worldview and approach, was laid out in its early books, such as Structure of Magic vol. 1 + 2 and Frogs into Princes.

Friends of mind that have undertaken the training tell me that it is simply the most sophisticated communication technology on the planet. I have to agree with them it is truly powerful.

Dymphna Boholt

The Federal Government says representatives of major banks have been invited to a summit with small business owners in Brisbane today, to try to restore confidence in lending.

Now that is a good thing, in light of what is happening at large in the banking sector for example: As the furore over the unintended consequences of the Government's guarantee scheme again dominated parliament, it emerged fund managers Perpetual and AXA had frozen redemptions in $4.1 billion of investors' funds, as a rash of investors attempted to withdraw their money. Perpetual and AXA have followed Challenger Howard, the country's biggest mortgage fund, which froze $2.8 billion of redemptions earlier this week.

So the fear among small business is that there will be no money to both borrow and lend, inorder to manage the all important cash flow. Cash flow as you know is the life blood of the all small businesses large and small. Small Businesses keep the economy ticking over. I am sure cooler heads will prevail and governments and business will come up with a solution that does not take domestic taxpayers for a ride.

Dymphna Boholt on Real Real Estate Trends and Colin Powell

"Prices should continue to increase during 2008, but at a slower rate and with some surprising hot spots. Continuing low housing affordability and upward pressure on interest rates are likely to be the key influences on national housing markets throughout 2008"

The above quote was from an article by Monique Wakelin, in a Smart Company article in december 2007, last year. My How times have changed! She had a crack at predicating a trend that for one reason or another has not eventuated.

Here we are in October 2008, and the world is in economic shambles. Melt down would be a more apt description. Globally governments via their federal reserve banks are, participating agressively in the financial markets in a manner not seen since Franklin D Roosevelt's New Deal in the 1930s. As to how long this particular trend is going to perpetuate itself...who knows?

Now lets get to the topic of presentations, How many of you are great at public speaking, and indeed, great, not only at public speaking but actually conveying somewhat complex concepts in a manner that is accesible to a broad swathe of people. Have at look at Dymphna Boholt's presentation.

So do you think you have what it takes to present in public like that? Do you have the google video to prove it? Got you there didn't I....: )

There are quite a few places where one can get a start in learning the skill sets that are needed to be a good public speaker. A great place to start would be your local toast masters. This great community organisation is a fantastic place to get to know folk within your local neighbourhood.

If however you are interested in delivering a world class presentation like Dymphna Boholt and getting what in my humble opinon is the best public speaking course on the planet then you should get out there and seek out a gentleman by the name of Chris Howard. He is american, however that dude has some serious skills, and he will open your eyes to the amazing possibilities that are out there.

Dymphna Boholt on the News.

Good Morning Folks,

How are we all today? Is everything okay in your part of the world. Here in Australia, times most certainly are interesting. Even though the world, well America is in chaos, Kevin Rudd seems to be acting rather decisively, in domestic financial matters. His Bank Guarantee has calmed the punters which is always a good sign, and his bank guarantee is most definitely a winner. It has had a massive psychological impact on the economic landscape within the country. It is good to know that ones bank deposits are rock solid.

In the property investing arena, matters are looking brighter. The Kevin Rudd led federal government's plan to triple the first home owner grant from $7,000 to $21,000 for newly-built homes has been welcomed by the housing industry, which says it will provide a much-needed boost to the sector.

This new development should hopefully kickstart sluggishness within the housing investment sector. The Housing Industry Association seems to like it. They estimate that over the next 12 months 15000 new abodes will be built. So the builders like it, lets see what the real estate industry thinks. It seems that that they too fell that we are on a winner... Raine & Horne CEO Angus Raine has applauded the Federal Government for its initiative in increasing the First Home Owners Grant to $14,000 for all first homebuyers and to $21,000 for those buying new housing as their first home. He feels that these coupled together with the dropping of the interest rates, should get buyers back into the pproperty markets in droves.
